Man rescued after long fall at Palisades Park

An 18-year-old man was rescued by the Spokane Fire Department on Friday after falling into a cave at Palisades Park.

SFD District 10 said it performed a technical rescue and descended into the cave to get to the man, who reportedly suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

The man was placed on a gurney and carefully elevated to an ambulance. He was taken to a local hospital.
