Track and field roundup: Isaiah Rigo wins three events, leads Cheney over East Valley

Boys:

Cheney won the first league meet of the season, beating East Valley 86-59.

Isaiah Rigo took first in the 1,600 and 3,200 races as well as the 110 high hurdles for the Blackhawks.

Jared Hathaway led East Valley, winning the long jump and the triple jump.

Girls:

Cheney also won on the girls side, beating East Valley 90-60.

Jolene Whiteley won the 800 and 1,6000 races to lead the Blackhawks.

Genesis Wilkinson took first in the discus and the shot put for the Knights.
