Seasonal equestrian trail restrictions in effect in Spokane area

TRAILS – With spring officially here, certain Spokane County Park trails will have equestrian restrictions.

The annual trail use restriction is intended to protect the trails, according to a county news release. Heavy weight on muddy trails can destroy a trail.

As of last week full restrictions are in effect for:

James T. Slavin Conservation Area

Dishman Hills Conservation Area – Glenrose, Iller Creek and Stevens Creek

Saltese Uplands Conservation Area

Partial restriction is in effect for:

Antoine Peak Conservation Area (Equestrian use of single-track prohibited).

Restrictions will be lifted once trail conditions improve.
