Morning prep roundup: Cody Bogetti’s bases loaded double helps Riverside top Medical Lake

Riverside 9, Medical Lake 1: Cody Bogetti went 2 for 2 with a bases loaded double and four RBIs and the Rams (7-8, 6-6) defeated the visiting Cardinals (3-14, 1-11) in a Northeast A League game on Wednesday.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 12, Selkirk 0 (Gm 1): Dalton Kentner went 2 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs, struck out six in two innings and the visiting Warriors (21-0, 15-0) blanked the Rangers (8-7, 8-5) in the first game of a Northeast 1B doubleheader.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 11, Selkirk 0: Gage Burchill went 3 for 3 with a solo homer and the visiting Warriors (22-0, 16-0) defeated the Rangers (8-8, 8-6) in the second game of a Northeast 1B doubleheader. Chase Gerard of ACH tossed a complete game allowing one hit with eight strikeouts.

Columbia 17, Curlew 6 (Gm 1): Solomon Christian went 3 for 3 and pitched three solid innings and the Lions (3-9, 3-9) defeated the visiting Cougars (5-9, 5-9) in the first game of a Northeast 1B doubleheader.

Curlew 15, Columbia 11 (Gm 2): Sam Wright collected a pair of doubles and the visiting Cougars (5-9, 5-9) beat the Lions (3-9, 3-9). Riley McLain of Columbia clubbed a grand slam in the first inning in the second game of a Northeast 1B doubleheader.

Softball

East Valley 13, Ferris 1: Abbie Brake went 4 for 4 with a home run and the Knights (9-8) defeated the Saxons (1-17) in a nonleague game.

Track

NEA meet at Colville: Boys: Lakeside 92, Colville 49. Girls: Lakeside 100, Colville 40.

Logan Allen won the boys 100, 200 and 400 and Faith Kennedy took the girls 100 and 200 to pace Lakeside to a pair of wins. Noah Cherrington added wins in the 110 and 300 hurdles and Olivia Mikkelsen took the shot put, discus and javelin.

Medical Lake’s Jaxyn Farmen won the long jump and triple jump, setting a personal best in the triple.

Deer Park’s Gabe Swett won the boys 100 and 200 to pace the Stags while Avery Ackerman from Deer Park threw a state-leading throw and a new school record in discus at 125-11.
