Authorities capture mountain lion near Idaho State campus

Associated Press

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho Fish and Game officials have captured a mountain lion near the campus of Idaho State University.

KPVI-TV reported a jogger spotted the adult mountain lion Friday morning and called university police.

Idaho Fish and Game officials and Pocatello police responded and found the mountain lion in a tree.

The wildlife officials tranquilized the animal so it could be captured and relocated.

University officials said mountain lions have been spotted in the area before.
