Woman killed in head-on collision west of Spokane

A Creston woman died Wednesday after her motorcycle was involved in a head-on collison with a truck west of Spokane.

Holly Andersen, 57, was eastbound on Highway 2 when a westbound truck turned in front of the motorycle on Espanola Road, according to Washington State Patrol.

Andersen was flown by helicopter to Sacred Heart Medical Center with injuries, where she later died, The truck driver was not injured in the crash.

This is the second fatality at Espanola Road and Highway 2 in month. A teenage girl on the Medical Lake High School track team was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle collision on April 14.
