Motorcyclist killed from injuries sustained in crash west of Airway Heights

A motorcyclist died from injuries she sustained Tuesday in a collision west of Airway Heights.

Holly Andersen, 57, was riding on U.S. Highway 2 about 6 miles outside city limits at about 4:30 p.m. when Washington State Patrol troopers said a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 51-year-old Steven Gentry entered her lane.

Troopers say Gentry failed to yield while attempting to turn onto Espanola Road. Andersen struck Gentry in the eastbound lane.

Andersen was airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. She died Wednesday.

Gentry was not injured. He has not been arrested pending an investigation.
