New name; same free summer concert series.

What was formerly known as the Hotel RL Outdoor Summer Concert Series has been renamed Rhythm and Brews, a nod to both the music and local breweries present at Hotel RL each Friday and Saturday this summer, from June 15 through Aug. 25.

The first weekend of Rhythm and Brews features Max Daniels and Nu Jack City (June 15) and Spare Parts (June 16).

The concert series also features performances by Too Slim and the Taildraggers, with an opening set from Doghouse Boyz (June 22) and Dimestore Prophets (June 23); LeRoy Bell and His Only Friends, with an opening set from Stevie Lynne (June 29) and Stepbrothers (June 30); Sara Brown (July 6) and Working Spliffs (July 7); Milonga (July 13) and the Blake Braley Band (July 14); Smash Hit Carnival (July 20) and Sammy Eubanks (July 21); Abbey and Friends, featuring director/actress/vocalist Abbey Crawford (July 27) and Soul Proprietor (July 28); Trego (Aug. 3) and Atomic Jive (Aug. 4); Paperback Writer performing a Beach Boys tribute (Aug. 10) and Paperback Writer performing a Beatles tribute (Aug. 11); and Shakewell (Aug. 17) and Christy Lee (Aug. 18).

The series will close with a MasterClass Big Band Rhythm and Blues Revue (Aug. 24) and Peter Rivera and Celebrate! with an opening set from Sidestep (Aug. 25).

All concerts take place from 6-9 p.m. next to the river behind Hotel RL. Table seating, food and drinks will be available.
