Prep tennis playoffs: Gonzaga Prep’s Tyler Timperman, Callah Preti win regional titles

Boys tennis

4A Regional Tournament: Tyler Timperman (Gonzaga Prep) won the boys singles over Cade Edwards (Hanford) with Angelo Bravo (Hanford) taking third place at the District 8 4A regional tennis tournament at Mead HS. The top three placers qualify for state.

Edward Liu and Eric Liu (Mead), the 2017 4A state doubles second place, took first place over Dean and Evan West (CV). Blake Hansen and Andrew Walker (Ferris) placed third.

Gonzaga Prep won the boys team singles title.

Girls tennis

4A Regional Tournament: Callah Preti (Gonzaga Prep) won the girls singles over Quinci Fisher (Richland) and Katie Kuka (Mead) took third.

In girls doubles, Milena Stankovic and Siena Stephens (Hanford) won over Sophie Orndorff and Maygan Osborne (University), Emma and Sophie Koehler (Mead) took third place.

Mead, Richland and Hanford finished in a three-way tie for the girls team title.
