‘Pasta ninja’ slated to lunch in Spokane

Linda Miller Nicholson, the self-proclaimed “pasta ninja” with more than 200,000 followers on her Salty Seattle Instagram account and a new book, “Pasta, Pretty Please: A Vibrant Approach to Handmade Noodles,” is slated to come to Spokane for lunch.

You’re invited.

But if you want to come, you better act fast.

As of Thursday morning, there were only five spots left.

“Lunch with Salty Seattle” is hosted by the Spokane Culinary Arts Guild and takes places from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 15 at Sante Restaurant and Charcuterie, 404 W. Main Ave.

Nicholson is widely known for making vibrantly colored pasta from scratch, using vegetables and spices to dye her doughs. She’ll give pasta-making tips and talk about her creative process during lunch, which will be followed by a book signing.

Half of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to 509 Cooks, chef Jeremy Hansen’s nonprofit.

There are only 25 tickets in all available for the lunch and private meet-and-greet. Tickets are $60 each. They’re available through EventBrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lunch-with-salty-seattle-tickets-51856174213.

Books can also be pre-ordered through the site for $30.

The private luncheon will be followed by a free and public book signing next door at Auntie’s Bookstore, 402 W. Main Ave.
