Worried about the elections?

Watch this harrowing video of a baby brown bear fighting to climb a steep snow slope instead.

The video was captured by a drone in the Magadan region of Russia. It has been making the rounds on social media.

And while the video ends happily it’s not all good news. It’s clear in the video that the drone is actually disturbing the bears and contributing to the risky snow traverse.

Drone operators need to be aware of their impact on wildlife. That’s in addition to following all applicable laws.

In Washington it’s illegal to use a drone to hunt. Washington State Parks allows drone use, but only on a limited basis.

Additionally, the federal government has a number of drone-related provisions including requiring pilots to get a license to operate.

The National Parks Service bans drone use.

Here is a good break down of drone laws in Washington: https://uavcoach.com/drone-laws-washington/.

But ultimately if you’re drone is bothering wildlife back off.
