Oregon man barricaded in Coeur d’Alene hotel room arrested after SWAT standoff
An Oregon man with felony arrest warrants barricaded himself in a Coeur d’Alene hotel room Thursday morning, leading to a SWAT standoff that ended with his arrest.
Detective Jared Reneau, spokesman for the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, said a SWAT team communicated with 32-year-old Ryan Hayes for more than an hour while he remained inside the Ramada hotel room. He was wanted for armed bank robbery.
Some rooms were evacuated, Reneau said. Hayes was arrested after SWAT members breached the room.
