The number of homes sold in Spokane County dropped during October, but prices rose as low inventories of residential property continued to influence the market.

A total of 680 condos and houses on less than 1 acre changed hands during the month, according to the Spokane Association of Realtors.

The average sales price was $264,224 – an increase from $259,472 in September and $227,529 in October 2017.

The median sales price was $240,000 – an increase from $235,000 in September and $209,950 in October 2017.

About 1,300 residential properties are currently listed for sale, which is a 22 percent drop from last year at this time.

The number of homes and condos sold during October dropped 16 percent compared to a year ago.
