USA Today names Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese one of the best grilled cheese sandwich shops in the country

Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese has been recognized as one of the top spots for grilled cheese sandwiches in the country by USA Today.

In honor of the recognition, Meltz is bringing back the We Be Jam’in for a limited time. The sandwich is made with White cheddar, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, smoked turkey, slow-roasted tomatoes, pesto and black pepper bacon jam.

Meltz made the announcement on Instagram and Facebook on Friday, posting a photo of the sandwich and saying, “Look at this sandwich, it’s gorgeous and its taste is the only thing that can match its beauty!”

USA Today published its list at the end of September under the headline “These are some of the best places for grilled cheese in all 50 states (and DC).”

The spot features The Idahoan, which is described as a “carb-laden, comfort food-inspired artery clogger.” It includes white cheddar, Colby cheese, meatloaf, roasted garlic, smashed red potatoes and a ketchup-chili glaze.
