Plans for apartments at Coyote Rock community call for 180 units

Plans are underway for hundreds of apartments at Coyote Rock Waterfront Living in Spokane Valley.

Riverside Place LLC submitted a grading permit in September for five parcels of land south of the Spokane River near East Coyote Rock Drive.

Plans call for construction of 180 luxury apartments on 15 acres with expected completion in the spring of 2020, according to an environmental study submitted to the city.

New streets and utilities also will be built .

Riverside Place LLC purchased the five parcels of vacant land for $1.5 million.

Cliff Mort, president of Coeur d’Alene-based Neighborhood Inc, is the site developer for the Coyote Rock, a master-planned community that offers 5 miles of boating access on the Spokane River.

This article was modified on Nov. 28 to reflect the property owner’s plans to build luxury apartments instead of low to middle income apartments, which was indicated on the environmental study submitted to the city.
