Authorities release name of woman who died in crash west of Spokane

The woman who died Friday morning when her car struck a tree west of Spokane was Felia Sharkey, 34.

The medical examiner’s office released Sharkey’s name on Tuesday.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office previously reported that a woman had been driving south on Assembly Road when her car left the roadway and crashed into a tree near the intersection of Assembly and Tamarack roads.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which was under investigation.

A LinkedIn.com page indicates Sharkey had worked as a housekeeper at local hotels, and as a receptionist for the Spokane Tribe in Airway Heights.
