Gonzaga’s women’s basketball team, off to its best start in the Lisa Fortier era, seeks a small bit of revenge.

When the Bulldogs finished 27-6 last season – head coach Fortier’s fourth at the helm – one of the setbacks came against Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The focus shifts to McCarthey Athletic Center at 6 p.m. Wednesday when the Bulldogs (6-1) and Rams (2-2) meet for just the second time in history.

The Zags had the Rams on the ropes last season, racing to a 20-11 lead, but GU shot 22 percent from the field over the final three quarters and lost 65-49.

Sophomore guard Lore Devos leads the Rams with 15 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

The Zags’ leaders are senior forward Zykera Rice (12.1 points, 8.0 rebounds per game) and senior guard Laura Stockton (4.1 assists, 2.0 steals per game).
