Girls basketball: Genesis Wilkinson’s 13 points helps East Valley cruise over Lakeland

East Valley 49, Lakeland 17: Genesis Wilkinson scored 13 points and the Knights (2-0) beat the Hawks (1-2) on Friday night.

Lake City 73, West Valley 44: Brooklyn Rewers had 17 points and the visiting Timberwolves (4-1) beat the Eagles (0-1).


Medical Lake 47, Liberty 34: Jessica Lohman had 16 points with two 3-pointers and the Cardinals (1-0) beat the visiting Lancers (0-1).

Pomeroy 57, Colfax 28: Heidi Heytvelt and Maddy Dixon scored 14 points apiece and the visiting Pirates (1-0) beat the Bulldogs (0-1).

Colton 64, St. George’s 53: Emily Schultheis scored 22 points and the Wildcats (1-1) defeated the visiting Dragons (2-1). Lidia Bergquist led St. George’s with 20 points.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 44, Columbia Burbank 42: Dakota Killian’s put-back at the buzzerr pushed the Broncos (1-0) past the visiting Coyotes (0-1). Killian led the Broncos with 14 points.

Northport 61, Springdale 23: Hailey Young scored 14 points and the visiting Mustangs (1-1) handled the Chargers (1-1).

Selkirk 37, Kettle Falls 28: Jenna Couch scored 14 points and the Rangers (1-0) beat the Bulldogs (0-2).

Wilbur-Creston 57, Republic 17: Mackenzie Arden scored 22 points and the Wildcats (1-0) beat the visiting Tigers (0-1).
