Prep slowpitch softball roundup: Madison Thompson and University stay undefeated with win over Mt. Spokane

Madison Thompson tallied a pair of hits and drove in two runs and University (13-0) defeated the Mt. Spokane (10-3) 11-8 on Tuesday in a Greater Spokane League game.

Mead 12, Central Valley 2: Peyton Cushner belted a three-run home run and the visiting Panthers (10-4) rolled past the Bears (8-5). Sadie Bocook added three hits and scored twice for the Panthers.

Lewis and Clark 20, East Valley 11: Darby Rickel notched three hits including a grand slam and the visiting Tigers (6-6) outslugged the Knights (6-6). Emma Todhunter led West Valley with four hits including three doubles for three RBIs.

Ferris 20, Gonzaga Prep 10: Jailyn Strauss homered twice among four hits and the visiting Saxons (4-9) roared back to down the Bullpups (4-10). Julia Wright launched a grand slam home run in the first inning to give Gonzaga Prep an early lead.
