Cory Young ran for a fourth-quarter touchdown to help Northern Arizona beat Weber State 28-24 in a turnover-filled game on Saturday night in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Landon Stice forced a fumble from Lumberjacks quarterback Daniel Bridge-Gadd, and Preston Smith returned the ball 86 yards for a score to give the Wildcats an 8-7 halftime lead.

Chauntez Thomas knocked the ball loose from Wildcats quarterback Jake Constantine, and Jalen Goss scooped it up and ran 30 yards into the end zone to pull Northern Arizona even at 18 midway through the third quarter. Young’s 8-yard run, set up by Kam’ron Johnson’s interception from Kaden Jenks, made it 28-21. Trey Tuttle kicked his third field goal, a 52-yarder, to pull Weber State to 28-24 with 8:20 left. But Jenks threw his second pick, and the Wildcats then turned it over on downs without a first down on their final two possessions.

UC Davis 49, Northern Colorado 36: Jake Maier threw for 382 yards and four touchdowns and the Aggies overwhelmed the Bears in Greeley, Colorado.

UC Davis entered the fourth quarter with a 42-10 lead. On in relief of Maier, Brock Johnson threw a 16-yard score to Gabe Martinez for his first career touchdown to make it 49-10 with 9:15 remaining.

Portland State 22, Montana 20: A quartet of takeaways, some clock control and a freshman kicker helped the Vikings end their 12-game losing streak in the conference with a win over the turnover-prone Grizzlies in Missoula.

Cody Williams’ 52-yard field goal with 4 seconds left also let Portland State snap its road losing streak at 10 games.

Cal Poly 41, Sacramento State 27: Joe Protheroe and Drew Hernandez each ran for more than 100 yards and the Mustangs rolled past the Hornets in Sacramento, California.

Cal Poly ran for 462 yards on 70 carries, and was just 1 of 6 through the air. Protheroe ran 32 times for 128 yards and a touchdown. Hernandez had 113 yards on 12 carries.

J.J. Koski returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown, and added a 68-yard scoring run on his only carry for the Aggies.
