No child is safe on a Durham school bus

Did you know that if your child was assaulted on a Durham school bus that the driver could not help your child? The driver could call for help and it would take at least 20 minutes for help to arrive, if at all.

I was an attendant on a special-needs bus. A student got out of his seat and began assaulting other students. The driver called for help. A child was harmed. The driver was chastised for calling for help.

I quit.

When you put your child on the bus, there is no expectation that your child will arrive safely. This needs to change.
