Fire bans lifted in Spokane city and county

From staff reports

Outdoor recreational fires are now allowed in Spokane county and city.

The Spokane City Fire Marshal and Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency lifted the bans this week after enacting them in July.

The allowed fuel for fires includes dry firewood, briquettes, propane and natural gas. Fires must be in designated spots or on private property, but they cannot exceed 3 feet in diameter and two feet tall. Extinguishing equipment should always be on hand and ready to use.
