Man killed in Otis Orchards crash from Pennsylvania

A man killed Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision near Otis Orchards has been identified as a resident of Pennsylvania.

The Washington State Patrol says 26-year-old John L. Scott of Lancaster was driving westbound on Trent Avenue east of Flora Road when at about 5:45 p.m. his 2012 Toyota pickup crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2017 Dodge Ram pickup truck head on. The Dodge pickup was driven by 35-year-old Bethany Latner of Otis Orchards.

Scott, who was not wearing a seat belt, was killed in the collision. Latner, who was wearing restraints, was transported by ambulance to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Trent was closed for several hours after crash. It was reopened Tuesday evening.
