Woman dies in hit and run in Liberty Lake; police looking for vehicle

Liberty Lake police are searching for a red Dodge pickup that struck and killed a pedestrian Thursday morning, according to a news release.

Police and the Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to a hit-and-run at about 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Country Vista Drive and East Vista Avenue. The victim was sent to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and later died from injuries.

The truck is a late ’90s or early 2000s Dodge Ram or Dakota, according to surveillance footage.

Police are asking anyone with information on the truck’s whereabouts to call Liberty Lake Police Department at (509) 755-1140 or Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
