Cougars’ women’s volleyball outlasts USC in five sets
PULLMAN – Jocelyn Urias’ kill was the fifth-set match-winner as the No. 23 Washington State women’s volleyball team outlasted 14th-ranked USC, 25-16, 21-25, 25-23, 23-25, 18-16, Friday night at Bohler Gym.
McKenna Woodford led the Cougars (14-5, 5-4 Pac-12) with a match-high 23 kills and a team-high .219 hit percentage. WSU’s Ashley Brown had 52 assists. Penny Tusa added 14 kills and Urias had 13 for Washington State. Khalia Lanier had 19 kills, and Brooke Botkin added 17 for the Trojans (14-6, 6-3).
WSU hosts No. 20 UCLA Sunday at noon.
