Prep morning roundup: Hunter Chodorowski carries Central Valley football over University

Central Valley 41, University 7: Hunter Chodorowski ran for 127 yards with a touchdown and the visiting Bears (5-3, 2-2) beat the Titans (4-4, 0-4) in a Greater Spokane League 4A game. Zack Jongeward carried 11 times for 125 yards for the Bears.

Colville 58, Medical Lake 7: John Knight completed 5 of 7 passes for 167 yards with two touchdowns and ran for two scores as the Indians (6-2, 5-0) defeated the visiting Cardinals (2-6, 1-4) in an Northeast A League game.

Chewelah 42, Northwest Christian 6: Kaden Krouse ran for 119 yards with two touchdowns and the Cougars (3-0) beat the visiting Crusaders (2-1) to clinch the Northeast 2B North Division title.

Soccer

Mead 3, Shadle Park 0: Erica Nessan scored twice in the second half and the visiting Panthers (7-2-1-0) beat the Highlanders (1-8-0-1).

University 6, Ferris 3: Kelsey Crosby registers a hat trick with two assists and the visiting Titans (6-3-1-1) beat the Saxons (4-5-1-0).

Coeur d’Alene Charter 4, Marsh Valley 1: Eliason Cherrstrom scored two goals and the visiting Panthers (18-0-0) defeated the Eagles in an Idaho 3A State semifinal at Sunway Soccer Complex, Twin Falls. CdAC faces Sugar-Salem in the state title game on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Sandpoint 3, Skyline 1: The Bulldogs won an Idaho 4A State semifinal at Lake City HS. Sandpoint faces Bishop Kelly in the state title game on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Coeur d’Alene HS.
