Police investigate weekend stabbing in downtown Spokane

A man was stabbed and hospitalized for minor injuries after an altercation early Sunday morning in downtown Spokane.

The stabbing may have occurred near the intersection of Sprague and Washington, according to a news release, but emergency medical services treated the victim in a nearby parking lot.

The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police are still searching for the suspect. Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Check.
