Strong earthquakes strike off Vancouver Island; no tsunami warnings issued

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded three earthquakes above magnitude 6.0 Sunday evening about a 100 miles off the coast of Vancouver Island.

The strongest quake was magnitude-6.8 and occurred at 10:16 p.m.

The Vancouver Sun reported that there was no damage reported and there were no tsunami warnings issued.
