Women’s soccer: Messiah (Pennsylvania) shuts out visiting Whitworth

Brooke Firestone scored the first and last goals of the match Saturday to lead host Messiah to a 4-0 nonconference women’s soccer win over Whitworth in Grantham, Pennsylvania.

Maddie Kohl and Julia Kyne added goals for the NCAA Division III fifth-ranked Falcons (2-0-0).

Molly Webster had four saves for the Pirates (1-1-0).

North Idaho 2, Tacoma 2: Linnea Pretzer’s goal in the first minute of stoppage time allowed the visiting Cardinals (0-1-2) to tie the Titans (2-2-1).

NIC’s Autumn Stewart’s goal tied the match at 1 in the 16th minute. Hailey Sargent scored her second goal, at 67 minutes, to give Tacoma the lead.

NIC outshot the Titans 14-12.

Peninsula 2, CC Spokane 0: Samantha Guzman and Samantha Oliveira scored first-half goals to lift the Pirates (1-2-0) over the Sasquatch (2-1-1) in nonconference play in Port Angeles, Washington.
