Morning prep roundup: Goals by Zoe Leija and Brenna Utzman lead to Shadle and Pullman tie

Soccer

Brenna Utzman and Zoe Leija netted second-half goal as host Pullman and Shadle Park played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday in a nonleague game.

Utzman opened the scoring for the Greyhounds two minutes into the second period before Leija equalized 15 minutes later.

Football

Wahkiakum 14, Colfax 0: Quentin Nelson rushed for 145 yards and scored twice and the Mules (1-0) blanked the visiting Bulldogs (0-1).

Volleyball

Davenport hosted the Gorilla Classic on Saturday. Here were the results:

Davenport 2, Reardan 0: Sydney Zeiler notched seven service aces and the Gorillas rolled past the visiting Indians.

Davenport 2, Medical Lake 1: Kendyl Wiley notched three service aces with 14 assists and the Gorillas edged the visiting Cardinals.

Springdale 2, Davenport 0: The visiting Chargers held off a late rally in game two to sweep the host Gorillas in the Gorilla Classic final. Sydney Zeiler led the Gorillas with eight kills.
