BRIEF: Two dead, three critically injured in I-90 crash near Ellensburg
ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Two people died and three were critically injured after a crash on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg Monday afternoon.
A motor home pulling a trailer was westbound around 4 p.m. when it crashed into Wilson Creek nearby, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Brian Moore.
One adult and one child died. Another adult and two children were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, Moore said.
Lanes of I-90 in both directions were closed for a time on Monday afternoon, slowing traffic through the area. Efforts to remove the motor home were expected to take several hours. The state Department of Ecology was on scene because of the diesel spill into the creek.
The crash is under investigation.
