College volleyball: North Idaho opens Northwest Athletic Conference play with home victory

Kayla Neumann (Sandpoint High) had a match-high 24 kills while hitting .429 and North Idaho opened its Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball season Tuesday with a 3-1 win over visiting Walla Walla (13-3, 1-1).

Hailee Etter (Shadle Park) added 16 kills and Haylee Templeton 51 assists for the Cardinals (7-5). Templeton also had 16 digs to lead three Cardinals in double figures.

Morgan Ness (Central Valley) led the Warriors with 14 kills and 10 digs.
