Body discovered near Mission Park along Centennial Trail

Police responded to reports of a body found on Centennial Trail near Mission Park at 11:30 a.m., according to a news release from Spokane Police Department.

The identify of the person and the cause of death is unknown.

Detectives and police have cordoned off parts of the trail while they investigated the unattended death.

Police are seeking witnesses to anything suspicious in the area. Anyone with information regarding the death or the ongoing investigation are encouraged to call (509) 456-2233.
