Oral Roberts powers past Gonzaga in men’s soccer behind Dante Brigida’s hat trick

TULSA, Oklahoma – Dante Brigida had a hat trick and Oral Roberts scored four second-half goals Friday to register a 5-1 nonconference men’s soccer win over Gonzaga.
Brigida’s goals came in the 58th, 71st and 80th minutes.
Junior Chavez added two goals for the Golden Eagles (4-2-1).
Theo O’Malley’s header goal, on a cross from Chris Geanon in the 63rd minute, allowed the Bulldogs (1-4-2) to cut Oral Roberts’ lead to 2-1.
Whitworth 4, George Fox 0: Drew Williams scored his team-high third goal, and Alex Lopez, Drew Wilson and Luke Denke also scored to lead the Pirates (2-4-1) past the host Bruins (1-4-0) in a Northwest Conference opener in Newberg, Oregon.
