Lexington Homes of Spokane Valley sold to Texas company

From staff reports

Lexington Homes, of Spokane Valley, has been acquired by D.R. Horton, an Arlington, Texas, company that builds homes in 26 states.

President Dave Nerren has continued to run Lexington homes since the May sale, according to a news release. The company will continue to focus on single-family homes priced in the mid-$200,000 range.

“We welcome Lexington Homes to the D.R. Horton family and look forward to growing our operations throughout the Spokane area,” board Chairman Donald R. Horton said.

D.R. Horton has built more homes than any U.S. builder for the past 16 years, according to the release.

D.R. Horton’s first local development will be Fairway Greens in the West Plains near the planned Amazon fulfillment center, according to the release. Some of the 55 homes will offer golf course frontage. Sales are expected to begin in September.
