Prep morning roundup: Ashton Cathey’s sac-fly gives Mt. Spokane walk-off win over Shadle Park

Ashton Cathey hit a sacrifice fly and Mt. Spokane (2-2) walked-off visiting Shadle Park (0-5) 14-13 in a Greater Spokane League game on Tuesday.

Alex Cleveland was 3 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Highlanders.

Girls soccer

Pullman 1, Deer Park 0: Hailey Talbot scored the game’s only goal and the Greyhounds (3-3) defeated the visiting Stags (4-2) in a nonleague game. Jocelyn Gross tallied 14 saves for the Greyhounds.


Mt. Spokane 3, Ferris 0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-19): Malina Ama notched 10 kills and the visiting Wildcats (2-0) swept the Saxons (0-2) in a GSL match.
