Body found on South Hill; police say foul play not suspected

A body was discovered Friday afternoon near the Rockwood Retirement community on the South Hill.

Spokane police Officer Josh Laiva said the death “doesn’t appear to be anything criminal in nature.” The person, who was not identified Friday by gender or age, was located at about 2:30 p.m.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the cause manner and manner of death, and the person’s identity, Laiva said.
