LACEY, Wash. – Micaela Kostecka placed second and led the Community Colleges of Spokane women to third place Saturday at the Ken Garland Classic at Saint Martin’s University.
Kostecka completed the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes, 30.99 seconds. Champion Rebecca Lehman of Western Washington ran 18:15.19.
CCS scored 87 points to trail Western Washington (21) and Southern Idaho (69) in the 11-team field.
Western also led the men’s field with a perfect 15 points. CCS (95) placed fourth, led by Ethan Green, who placed 15th by finishing the 8,000 in 27:05.53.
