Prep slowpitch softball roundup: Brooklyn Hecker’s walk-off single gives University win over Central Valley

Brooklyn Hecker hit a walk-off single and University (9-0) slipped past visiting Central Valley (7-3) 5-4 on Tuesday in a Greater Spokane League game.

Makayla Marshall led off the bottom of the seventh with a triple before Hecker scored her.

Mt. Spokane 9, Lewis and Clark 7: Kaleigh Bussiere pitched a complete game and tallied four hits and the Wildcats (6-3) defeated the Tigers (4-6) at Hart Field. Carolyn Johnson slugged a pair of home runs for Lewis and Clark.

Gonzaga Prep 13, North Central 3: Julia Wright had a double and a single and the Bullpups (4-6) beat the visiting Indians (1-8).

Ferris 12, Rogers 8: Katelynn Strauss hit two homers to power the visiting Saxons (3-6) over the Pirates (6-3).
