Prep girls soccer roundup: Madylyn Simmelink bags two goals, Central Valley tops Mead

Madylyn Simmelink scored two goals and visiting Central Valley (4-0-0) defeated Mead (3-1-0) 3-0 in a Greater Spokane League game on Friday.

Gonzaga Prep 1, Shadle Park 0: Campbell Seibold scored the lone goal and the Bullpups (4-0-0) defeated the Highlanders (0-4-0) at Dwight Merkel.

University 2, Lewis and Clark 1: Gracen Crosby, Emma Knudson and Peyton Bastine scored shootout goals and the Titans (3-1-0) defeated the visiting Tigers (1-3-0).

Mt. Spokane 5, Rogers 0: Ally Gockley had one goal with an assist and the visiting Wildcats (3-1-0) beat the Pirates (0-4-0).

Ferris 2, North Central 1: Jill Calkins scored in a shootout and the Saxons (5-5-0) defeated the visiting Indians (2-6-0).


Cheney 3, Deer Park 2: Carla Thorson scored the opening goal and the visiting Blackhawks (6-4-0) came back to beat the Stags (8-2-0).

Davenport 3, Newport 2: Darby Soliday had two goals and the visiting Gorillas (4-0) beat the Grizzlies (1-9).
