Prep boys soccer: Tyler Gates scores and Gonzaga Prep blanks North Central

Gonzaga Prep 3, North Central 0: Tyler Gates scored in the 42nd minute and the Bullpups (3-1-0-0) defeated the Indians (1-3-0-0) on Wednesday at Albi Stadium. Larkin McLean and Mitchel Torre added second-half goals for the Pups.

Shadle Park 4, Rogers 0: Gage Smith scored in the 64th minute and assisted on a first-half goal and the Highlanders (1-3-0-0) beat the visiting Pirates (0-4-0-0) at Albi Stadium.

Lewis and Clark 1, Mead 0: Noah Taigen had two of his six saves late in overtime and had two stops in the shootout as the Panthers (2-1-1-0) beat the visiting Tigers (2-1-0-1).

Ferris 2, University 1: Solomon Katumbi had a goal and an assist as the Saxons (4-0-0-0) beat the visiting Titans (2-2-0-0) on Wednesday. Jaymon Manzi had 13 saves for University.

Central Valley 1, Mt. Spokane 0: Central Valley scored on a penalty kick late in the game off a fake shot at the edge of the box and the Bears (3-1-0-0) defeated the Wildcats (0-4-0-0) at Merkel.
