This year’s Mom’s Weekend at WSU features a production of the Otto Nicolai opera “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” based on the William Shakespeare play of the same name.

Anne Page (Clare Sullivan) is in love with Fenton (Bogdan Theo Mynka), but Page’s parents aren’t fond of the relationship and have other suitors in mind.

Sullivan and Mynka are both graduating this year and are receiving bachelor of music degrees in vocal performance.

The two have performed together in “Young Frankenstein” and “Into the Woods,” and, last summer, both Sullivan and Mynka participated in vocal programs in Europe.

This production is directed by Julie Anne Wieck and accompanied by the WSU Symphony Orchestra, directed by Danh Pham.
