Prep baseball: Stu Flesland tosses gem to help Mt. Spokane beat Gonzaga Prep

Greater Spokane League

Mt. Spokane 11, Gonzaga Prep 0: Stu Flesland allowed two hits over four shutout innings to pick up his league-leading fourth win of the season and the visiting Wildcats (10-1) beat the Bullpups (4-7) on Tuesday. Quentin Ayers went 4 for 4 with four RBIs while Braden DeSonia went 3 for 3 with an RBI and three runs and allowed one hit with two strikeouts over two scoreless innings in relief.

Central Valley 11, Mead 3: Kyle Parkman went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Cameron Sheley was 2 for 2 with three RBIs and the visiting Bears (9-2) beat the Panthers (7-4). Jack Leary threw a complete game, allowing four hits and one earned run while striking out nine for Central Valley.

North Central 16, Rogers 3: Zach Bartole-Lopez recorded three hits, scored twice and drove in three runs to lead the visiting Indians (2-8) past the Pirates (1-10).

Shadle Park 4, Ferris 2: Drew Richardson threw a complete game, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out six, and as the Highlanders (7-4) beat the visiting Saxons (6-4). Dalton Dawson went 3 for 3 with a solo home run and Richardson went 1 for 3 with two RBIs while Sterling Lipscomb went 1 for 2 with a walk and two runs for Shadle Park.

University 3, Lewis and Clark 2: Andrew Heesh induced a double play with his first pitch to snuff a sixth-inning jam and pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning and the Titans (6-5) edged the visiting Tigers (2-9). Kyle Douglas pitched into the sixth inning for University, striking out six, and Laken Young drew three walks, scored a run and made a pair of crucial diving catches in center field.

Great Northern League

Cheney 3, West Valley 1: Julian Chabot pitched a complete game and the Blackhawks (5-1) beat the visiting Eagles (3-6). Nick Berman drove in a piar of runs for Cheney.

Pullman 5, Clarkston 0: Hyatt Utzman struck out 11 in six shutout innings and the Greyhounds (5-1) blanked the visiting Bantams (2-2) on Tuesday. Connor Parrish pitched a 1-2-3 seventh for Pullman.

Northeast A

Deer Park 17, Newport 0: David Anderson threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and the Stags (4-2) beat the visiting Grizzlies (1-4) on Tuesday. Hunter Dryden and Carson Colville each had four RBIs for Deer Park.

Lakeside 11, Medical Lake 1: Sabin Mulch recorded three hits, scored twice and drove in two runs to lead the Eagles (2-4) past the visiting Cardinals (1-6). Ben Pointer scattered four hits and struck out 13 for Lakeside.

Freeman 15, Riverside 8: Ryan Hayek had three hits, scored twice and drove in one run and the visiting Scotties (3-1) defeated the Rams (2-3).

Northeast 2B

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 3, Reardan 1: Cole Cameron doubled in two runs to break a fourth-inning tie and the Broncos (5-5) downed the visiting Indians (0-6) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 12, Reardan 3: Spencer Miller doubled and walked twice, scoring two runs and driving in three to lead the Broncos (6-5) past the visiting Indians (0-7) in the second game.

Northwest Christian 22, Liberty 0: Gunnar Kuehl threw a complete game and Jake Gray had five hits and the Crusaders (7-0) beat the visiting Lancers (4-3) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Liberty at Northwest Christian: Jake Gray had a single, double and home run and the Crusaders (8-0) defeated the visiting Lancers (4-4) in the second game.

Chewelah 7, Kettle Falls 1: Cole Davis pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and the Cougars (8-3) defeated the visiting Bulldogs (1-8). Davis also had a two RBI single.

St. George’s 8, Springdale 0: Ethan Johnson went 3 for 4 with three RBIs as the Dragons (7-2) beat the visiting Chargers (0-5) in the first game of a doubleheader.

St. George’s 20, Springdale 0: Nick Watkins had two doubles, a home run and two RBIs and Xander Werkman had four doubles and two RBIs as the Dragons (8-2) beat the visiting Chargers (0-6) in the second game.

1B

Curlew 22, Northport 6: Seth Wright pitched a complete game and the visiting Cougars (3-6) beat the Mustangs (0-5) .

Colfax 10, Pomeroy 0: Layne Gingerich, Eric Akesson and Nate Akesson each had three hits and the visiting Bulldogs blanked the Pirates in a nonleague game on Tuesday. Nate Akesson had a double and a triple.

Odessa 17, Columbia 0: Camden Weber hit back-to-back triples and the Tigers (5-0) defeated the visiting Lions (0-3).

Nonleague

Colville 10, Nelson (B.C.) 0: John Knight, Riley Bunnell and Jake Lindquist combined to strike out 13 in a combined a no-hitter and the Indians (8-0) blanked Nelson, B.C. in a nonleague game. Justin Berg doubled twice for Colville.

Idaho

Coeur d’Alene 3, Lewiston 2: Noah Mayfield drove in the go-ahed run with a fifth-inning sacrifice fly and the Vikings (3-0) edged the visiting Bengals (1-2) in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Lake City 7, Post Falls 0: Bridger Rinaldi struck out eight in a complete game four-hit shutout and the Timberwolves (2-1) beat the Trojans (1-2) in the first game of a doubleheader. Conigliaro went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Harrison Reid drove in a pair with two hits.

Lake City at Post Falls: Jackson Scherr scored twice and drove in a run to help the visiting Timberwolves (2-2) beat the Trojans (1-3) in the second game.

Lakeland 12, Moscow 8: Cameron Harris drove in three runs and the Hawks (1-1) topped the visiting Bears (2-2) in the second game of a doubleheader. Brayden Decker had four hits and three RBIs for Moscow. Moscow took the first game10-8.

Bonners Ferry 2, Priest River 0: Ty Bateman had 12 strikeouts across six scoreless innings and added a third-inning RBI triple and the Badgers (2-1) edged the visiting Spartans (1-2) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Bonners Ferry 9, Priest River 8: Wilson Newell delivered a two-out, bases-loaded walkoff single and the Badgers (2-2) edged the visiting Spartans (1-3) in the second game. Brendon Reeves had two hits with three RBIs for Priest River.

Grangeville 11, Orofino 0: Chase Adkison singled, doubled and tripled and threw a complete game, striking out nine, and the visiting Bulldogs (4-0) beat the Maniacs (0-4) in a Central Idaho League game on Tuesday.
