Prep baseball: Jake Amend tosses no-hitter and Freeman downs Lakeside

Northeast A League

Freeman 11, Lakeside 0: Jake Amend pitched five no-hit innings, striking out five, and Jake Phelan hit a three-run triple and the visiting Scotties (4-1) beat the Eagles (2-5) on Wednesday.

Northeast 2B

Liberty 6, Reardan 3: Dylan Belles went 2 for 2 with a double and the visiting Lancers (3-6) defeated the Indians (0-8).

Chewelah 10, Davenport 0: Andrew Sweat allowed one hit while striking out 10 over five innings and the visiting Cougars (7-1) beat the Gorillas (0-1) in the first game of a doubleheader. Jake Jeanneret went 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and three runs for Chewelah.

Chewelah 11, Davenport 0: Justin Rollis gave up three hits with 10 Ks over six scoreless innings and went 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs and the visiting Cougars (8-1) beat the Gorillas (0-2) in the second game.
