Area roundup: Hira Naveed, Pepperdine win WCC women’s golf titles at Manito
Pepperdine’s Hira Naveed finished at one under to win by four shots and also help the Waves take the team title in the West Coast Conference Women’s Championship at Manito Golf and Country Club on Saturday.
Gonzaga’s Quynn Duong was sixth at 8 over, while Jessica Mangrobang tied for 10th at 11 over. The Zags placed fourth in the team standings behind BYU and San Francisco.

Washington State 10, USC 10 (12): Dillon Plew hit a grand slam, and the Cougars (8-27-1, 1-13-1 Pac-12 Conference) tied the Trojans (17-20-1, 8-9-1) in Los Angeles after the game was called due to travel-day curfew.
