Prep baseball: Elijah Hainline strikes out 10 and Mead tops Lewis and Clark

Greater Spokane League

Shadle Park 11, North Central 2: Drew Richardson struck out 11 and allowed two hits over seven innings and the Highlanders (9-5) beat the visiting Indians (3-11) on Tuesday. Dalton Dawson went 3 for 5 with three RBIs and Sterling Lipscomb went 3 for 3 with four runs and an RBI for Shadle Park.

Mt. Spokane 10, University 0: Nate Naccarato drove in three runs and the visiting Wildcats (13-1) blanked the Titans (7-7) on Tuesday. Brady Hill had three hits and scored twice for Mt. Spokane. Jeter Schuerman and Braden DeSonia combined on a five-hit shutout.

Mead 7, Lewis and Clark 0: Elijah Hainline struck out 10 in a complete-game two-hitter and the Panthers (9-5) defeated the visiting Tigers (2-12) on Tuesday. Dayton Wells went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Braeden Cordes drove in a pair for Mead.

Central Valley 13, Ferris 0: Parker Smith struck out seven and allowed two hits over five innings and the visiting Bears (12-2) shut out the Saxons (8-6) on Tuesday. Matt Gabbert went 2 for 4 with four RBIs for Central Valley.

Gonzaga Prep 7, Rogers 1: Karter Sayler allowed one run on five hits with five strikeouts and the Bullpups (6-8) topped the visiting Pirates (1-13) on Tuesday. Jackson Day went 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles and drove in three for Gonzaga Prep.

Great Northern League

Cheney 2, Clarkston 0: Julian Chabot allowed three hits with eight strikeouts in a complete game and the Blackhawks (6-1) blanked the visiting Bantams (2-5) on Tuesday. Luke Martin went 2 for 3 and drove in both Cheney runs.

Pullman 10, East Valley 0: Chase Hayton had three hits, scored twice, drove in two runs and stole three bases to lead the Greyhounds (5-1) past the visiting Knights (0-6) on Tuesday. Payton Kallaher scattered three hits struck out five and did not allow a walk for Pullman.

Northeast A

Deer Park 10, Riverside 0: Hunter Dryden pitched a six-inning perfect game with 16 strikeouts and the Stags (6-2) beat the visiting Rams (2-6). Carson Colville had a single, a double and two RBIs for Deer Park.

Freeman 6, Colville 5: Jake Amend delivered a bases-loaded walk-off single and the Scotties (7-1) edged the visiting Indians (8-1). Jace Phelan struck out 10 over five innings and had three hits and three RBIs.

Newport 15, Lakeside 5: Joel Miller struck out 10 over five innings and the Grizzlies (2-6) topped the visiting Eagles (2-8) on Tuesday. Miller went 3 for 5 with a double.

Northeast 2B

St. George’s 10, Davenport 2: Nick Watkins struck out six over four innings and the visiting Dragons (3-2) beat the Gorillas (0-5) in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. Watkins added three hits at the plate.

St. George’s 12, Davenport 1: Chris McIndoe allowed four hits in a complete game and the visiting Dragons (4-2) downed the Gorillas (0-6) in the second game of a double header on Tuesday.

Colfax 8, Liberty 1: Kelan Becker tossed a five-inning one-hitter and the Bulldogs beat the Lancers in the first game of a doubleheader.

Colfax 17, Liberty 2: Kolby Sisk allowed two hits over five innings and the Bulldogs swept the Lancers.

Reardan 15, Springdale 1: Aiden Kieffer allowed one run and struck out six over five innings and went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs and the visiting Indians beat the Chargers in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Reardan 11, Springdale 0: Caden Day stuck out nine over five one-hit innings and the visiting Indians swept the Chargers. Day went 3 for 4 at the plate with a run and two RBIs. Josh Abrahamson drove in three and Dylan Finch finished 3 for 3 with two RBIs.

Northeast 1B

Cusick 21, Northport 11: Trevor Shanholtzer drove in five runs with three hits, including a home run, and the Panthers (5-4) outslugged the visiting Mustangs (0-9) in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Cusick 16, Northport 1: Ethan Hardie struck out seven in three innings, reached base four times and scored three runs and the Panthers (6-4) swept the visiting Mustangs (0-10).

Selkirk 16, Republic 0: Jay Link tossed a one-hitter, striking out eight, and the visiting Rangers (7-2) blanked the Tigers (2-5) in the first game of a doubleheader. Link, Zech Curran and Luke Couch drove in four runs apiece for Selkirk.

Selkirk 18, Republic 3: Ryan Zimmerman struck out 13 over six innings and the visiting Rangers (8-2) swept the Tigers (2-6). Zech Curran scored three runs and drove in four while Jay Link singled, doubled and tripled with four runs and two RBIs for Selkirk.

Idaho

Coeur d’Alene 10, Lake City 9: Devon Johnson went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Carter Friesz went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and the Vikings (7-0) beat the visiting Timberwolves (2-5) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Coeur d’Alene 7, Lake City 1: Quinton Bunch went 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI and the Vikings (8-0) swept the visiting Timberwolves (2-6). Zach Mackimmie struck out five over six innings for CdA.

Lewiston 3, Post Falls 1: Kyle Van Boeyen allowed one run on two hits with seven strikeouts and the visiting Bengals (4-3) beat the Trojans (1-6) in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. Van Boeyen drove in two runs with a sixth-inning single.

Post Falls 7, Lewiston 6: Kaden Cripps went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and the Trojans (2-6) held off the visiting Bengals (4-4) in the second game. Kyle Van Boeyen hit a grand slam in the fifth inning for Lewiston.

Lakeland 5, Sandpoint 1: Cameron Harris allowed one run on seven hits with eight strikeouts and the Hawks (3-2) beat the visiting Bulldogs (2-2) in the first game of a doubleheader. Tristan Clift’s two-run single in the bottom of the fourth gave Lakeland the lead for good.

Lakeland 7, Sandpoint 2: Colton Aragon gave up two runs on two hits with six strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings and the Hawks (4-2) swept the visiting Bulldogs (2-3). Aragon went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk a three RBIs.
