Prep boys soccer: Lewis and Clark, Gonzaga Prep win tiebreakers to earn berths to District 8 playoffs

Greater Spokane League

Lewis and Clark 5, Mead 0: Maddox Marcelli scored twice and the visiting Tigers (5-3-0-1, 16 points) blanked the Panthers (4-3-2-0, 16 points) in a tiebreaker to earn the Greater Spokane League 4A third seed to the District 8 playoffs.

Lucas Goeller earned the shutout with 10 saves for Lewis and Clark, which will travel to face MCC No. 2 seed Pasco on Thursday.

Gonzaga Prep 1, University 0: Chris Peretti scored in the 48th minute and the Bullpups (5-3-0-1, 16 points) edged the Titans (5-3-0-1, 16 points) in a tiebreaker to earn the fourth seed to the District 8 tournament.

G-Prep travels to face MCC No. 1 seed Chiawana on Thursday.

Great Northern League

Clarkston 2, Pullman 1: Steve Beiye and Theo Beiye had a goal and assist apiece and the visiting Bantams (5-3-0-0, 15 points) edged the Greyhounds (4-4-0-1, 13 points) on Monday.

Clarkston secured the second seed in the league with the victory while Pullman settled for third. Both teams host district playoff games on Thursday.

East Valley 2, West Valley 1: Henry Stevens scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute and the Knights (2-5-0-1, 7 points) beat the visiting Eagles (0-7-1-0, 2 points).

Fourth-seeded East Valley travels to Pullman in a district playoff game on Thursday, while fifth-seeded West Valley takes on Clarkston.
