200 acre fire burning southeast of Coeur d’Alene

Fire crews were battling a fire about 27 miles southeast of Coeur d’Alene on Thursday that has burned about 200 acres since Wednesday, according to a news release from the Idaho Department of Lands.

The fire, called the CCC fire, is two miles north of Cataldo, Idaho.

Five fire engines and five helicopters were working on fighting the fire, according to the news release. Several structures were at risk, but no evacuations had been ordered as of Thursday afternoon.

Road closures from the fire include the CCC Road from Cataldo to Wall Ridge Road and the Trail of the Coeur d’Alene bike path from Cataldo to Kingston.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
