Providence invests nearly $144M in community health programs
Providence Health Care invested $143.8 million in charity care, uncompensated care and funding for local community programs in 2018, according to a news release from the nonprofit.
The benefit investment in Spokane and Stevens counties included free and discounted health care for uninsured and underinsured community members and health education and research. Also included was support for health services like YWCA’s Domestic Violence Mobile Advocate program, strategic partnerships through grants and donations and unpaid costs of Medicaid and other government programs.
Bridal shop event to mark business’s one year anniversary
Honest in Ivory Bridal Shop will host a one year anniversary party on Aug. 16.
The free event will begin at 7 p.m. at 1003 E. Trent Ave., Suite 105. It will feature local vendors, live models showcasing new wedding dresses and a free raffle for a $1,500 in-store gift card.
Dry dip, salad dressing maker hosts first Ranch Festival
Uncle Dan’s is hosting the First Annual Ranch Festival to celebrate the dry dip and dresssing maker’s new facility in Hayden.
The free event will be noon-5 p.m. Saturday at 9151 N. Hess St. in Hayden. It will featured food trucks with dressing items and tours of the new operations facility.
