Have you wondered why America is involved with so many social battles?
Abortion, homosexuality, marriage, judicial nominations, the cross and Ten Commandments are examples, but every area of life is involved. These are symptoms; the problem is opposing worldviews.
The dominant worldview in America has been Christianity, which believes in God and therefore in absolute standards. Atheism – believing in no God – has been growing as progressivism since the post-Civil War era (1880-1920) stimulated by Darwinian evolution (“On the Origin of Species,” published in 1859) denying God and therefore denying absolute standards. These two worldviews can never agree.
Progressives have led America into partial anarchy. Think of rioting in some cities, mass shootings and rampant criminal behavior that fills newspaper headlines.
Both worldviews (and others) were present at America’s foundation, yet there was peace. How? The Founders (those responsible for our founding documents) were all Christian and allowed freedom of religion — of thought. Sharing one’s religion was fine, but no one, not even the government, was allowed to coerce another to accept an idea.
Today some are forcing, or attempting to force, Christians to accept non-Christian ideas. Courts are full of lawsuits against businesses, students, teachers, military personnel and others, for being “politically incorrect.” Our Constitution, specifically the Bill of Rights, is almost worthless.
To make America great again, “we the people” must vote for people of virtue — who will vote for godly principles. Otherwise we will lose the freedom for which previous generations have fought.
